The Backplate, Reflections and Refractions checkboxes only work for the Visible Environment, not the (normal) Environment. So assign an Environment to the Visible Environment, and then tick the Backplate, Reflections and Refractions checkboxes as required. What do you mean by "slow" pls? Rendering slowly? I don't think the next release will render quicker.Last updated version become very slow.
