Wow, suddenly I am confronted with an Octane activation screen while launching C4d. Without warning, I have entered all possible username and password combinations, Octane is completely disabled!!!!!. I logged in to my account to get confirm the username and passwords. No good. I read elsewhere on the forum that you should try the fourm login??? What in the world? But it still didnt work. In MY ACCOUNT the lisences are listed as "deactivated" and I see no way to re-activate them.
This is a total NIGHTMARE. I am on extreme deadline. ALL my clients scenes are created using Octane for C4D and I cant launch any aspect of the plug-in or standalone software.
PLEASE HELP!!!!
Octane lisence suddenly invalid

Have you tried your OTOY username and password?

I have the login to get into my Otoy account. Doesn't work.
I have the login for each license. Doesn't work. All 3 of them. Which is TOTALLY confusing.
I have the login for the forum(which someone in a similar situation suggested is the one to use) Doesn't work
At this point I have to ask, EXACTLY what are you taking about? Otoy has made this beyond ridiculous. Example: the lisence list is listed as V2. Version is listed as 3. Status is listed as "deactivated" with no abilty to change its status.

The only username and password you need to know to activate are your OTOY credentials, according to the documentation.
To make sure there's no problem with them, could you please reset them and choose a new password and then try again?

You realize that the only way to reset my password is the enter the previous password that Otoy no longer recognized right?
I appreciate your help, but I am totally loosing my mind.

You need to sign out first and then you can go here and request a password reset:

I cant even reset my password for my account, which I'm being told is what I need to do in order to reset my authentication because:
"Your licenses are not currently active. This will be because they have been signed out (deactivated), or you may have had an operating system update.
When you start up C4D you should be asked to authenticate the license.
When the authentication request is displayed, all you need to do is enter your login username and password.
All of which is not the case. None of their suggestions are working...
WTH????????

I don't know how much of this nonsense anyone else is going though, but I CANT tell my client that I chose a render workflow that breaks without warning simply because there was a licensing screw up with their servers. Or that my machine had a routine OS upgrade and it BROKE Octanes licensing protocol.
And then I was unable to reset my activation. And unable to reset my password.
This is totally wrong and a terrible way to treat loyal customers. In my personal case I have advocated for Octane to countless other artists and production houses. Maybe not so much anymore.
