Hello, i need a reflection from my object on a white background. I have an environment with hdri. And i have a floor with alpha gradient to catch the reflections. In the multi passes i have a layered reflection active and become a floor reflection as single layer( on black ground).
This work very good for black background, but not for white background, you know what i mean... we cant place white reflections on white background in postproduction. And the invert methode is unacceptable.
Now, i need a white clean (FFFFFF) background in cinema with reflections. Or perfectly, i need a single reflection layer with only dark colored reflections that i can put it on white background in postproduction. But i dont think it is possible to make transparent reflection layer with full color.
The reflection must cut out from any background.
have anyone a good idea ?

Hi sreinger,
sorry, is not completely clear to me, why are you using an alpha gradient with Render Layers?
Please, could you share a simple scene with a sphere that shows what you need?
ciao beppe

Oh sorry, thats confusing. The gradient layer is only to make a halfsize floor reflection. its not important now.
In Cinema tags we had the composting options to make a plane white unlimited floor. in octane, its not working.
I wanted to find a workaround we can expose the floor with separate light, but again, the octane doesnt have the include exclude tag.
I wanted to find a workaround with emission texture of the floor, but thats not work with reflection.
So my last workaround was, to make the reflection on alpha layer. But i mean thats not possible because the reflection must backed on a layer. octane is backed on black layer.
I want one of options: relfection on alpha , or, reflection on white layer.
sorry for my bad english.
