Hey All,
Having some troubles with Octane network rendering.
2x Macs, 2GPU on main mac, 1xGPU on the other mac. Seems to be connecting via wireless, I can see the slave and activate. However rendering always says "0/1", leading me to believe the slave is not doing anything.
Is this a wireless issue? As in, no good over wireless at all?
I have an ethernet cable between the two Macs (directly, no router or switch), but it seems Macs will only use one or the other interface. If I turn off wireless, no Octane validation. If I turn it on, it doesn't seem to use the slave, I assume because of transfer speed?
No firewalls active etc.
Previously had Octane network rendering working OK at a different location via proper local network.

Hi sbstnc,
it is highly suggested to use cable network connection instead of wireless. Try again by adding the Ethernet connection, then you need to authenticate because the network system is changed.
You can also use this procedure described here:
viewtopic.php?f=86&t=54503#p285541
to enable the logging and a more verbose log in the terminal window
On Mac slave, you have to right click on the standalone app and navigate in Content/MacOs to find the directory where to copy the activation files.
On Mac c4d, just copy the octane_log_flags.txt inside the c4dOctane directory.
Let me know if you solved your issue.
