Hey JimStar - thanks for allowing us to identify the actual GPU's installed on our systems through the GPU checkboxes in the latest release ( 3.03.4 - 11.2). A small but very useful enhancement!

Also, I noticed that Blender's new native Alembic export feature is missing from Octane Blender 2.78. Was this intentionally removed because of the Alembic export feature you coded for Octane Blender? Does having both as export options cause a conflict?

There is no difference in 2.78 in this regard, it was disabled in all previous versions too. What is the usecase of it for you?..

As far as I know Alembic was only just implemented in 2.78. Regarding use cases admittedly I have none at this time. And the limited amount of testing I did with their exporter was not as successful as what you coded for the Blender plugin (a curves animation I did exported perfectly with the plugin's Alembic export to SA but did not translate well at all with the native Blender Alembic exporter; everything was just a mesh mush).

The new Blender Alembic exporter has some features that allow manipulation of data streaming and cache files. I really don't understand these or how they can be used yet. I'm just wondering if they might be useful for Octane?

Of course if ever do need or want to use Blender's native Alembic exporter for whatever reason I could just fire up the regular version.

OK, I've rebuilt the last 11.2 releases with Blender's internal alembic module enabled. You can re-download it from 11.2 testing threads and play with it... But I don't think it will be usable for Octane, native Blender's modules know nothing about Octane data...
