Hi,
I'm having issues getting the demo of OR to install. I initially had the stand alone demo installed plus the Maya plug-in, however I saw that it wasn't a requirement of the demo stand alone copy installed and thus tried reinstalling the plug-in demo without the stand alone copy. My issue is that Octaneplugin.mll doesn't show up in the Maya plug-ins list. I did a PC wide search for the file, and found nothing. In the Octane folder sits a readme and an uninstall file, nothing else.
Octane plug in demo: 'OctaneRender_for_Maya_2.24.2_-_7.24_Demo.exe'
Maya install location: Program Files/Maya2016.5/ (I've tried renaming to 'Maya2016' to see if it would install correctly, but still didn't work)
Windows Version: Windows 10
GFX: nVidia 980
16 GB ram, i7 47-90K.
Any suggestions? I'd love to try out the software, specifically for rending out stereoscopic cube maps for VR.

2.24.2-7.24 doesn't support Maya 2016.5
Use the 2.25-7.30 instead,
