Ready to press buy on either 1080s or 1070s. I cant believe that so far there is so little difference, i think Nvidia really f'ed something up

I second this. I remember reading that we could have expected to see optimizations back in August when CUDA 8 was supposed to be released, but it's now October. I know it is not something that can be done so quickly, but it'd be great to have a general idea now that CUDA 8 is out.Ron wrote:Question to Otoy Team: when will Cuda 8 support be implemented in Octane?

My 1080s are running at 95% at full render. Is native Cuda 8 support already implemented in latest release? Did I miss something?
It's a shame that Otoy does not respond to that issue at all.
