Hi
I have some issues with rendering through the c4d render queue.
When i set up multiple scenes in the renderqueue, i have this problem. In addition to the frames that are being saved to the place i specified, it saves me a file named like "renderscene_camxxx.png" in the place where the scenfile is as well.
This is uper annoying, after every render you have to delete 1000s of files in your scene directory.
Does someone know about that issue?
Thanks for letting me know
cheers
Render Queue saves allways two files

it's not about the issue.
You don't save files with native C4D saver but only with Render Passes module.
So C4D thinks you don't save files at all. So it saves Picture Viewer outcome.
I don't think there is any way to change it.
I don't struggle with it. Just after rendering I delete these files and that's it. Pretty simple operation.

Hi proundkontra,
I guess is not related with render queue but on how you set up the render setting window... could you share some screenshots or a simple scene?
ciao beppe

@ peppe: I'm doing it exactly as slepy8 describes it above.
@slepy8. May be its no a struggle, it's more an anoying thing witch i would love to see changed.
So, there is no propper way to this situation?

My way of dealing with it is - in my Cinema files folder I don't keep any jpg files.
So after rendering, in Explorer, I use files sorting acording to file types. So all jpgs are separate from C4d files.
I just select all of them, one "delete" click and it's done.
Didn't find any workaround yet.

Could you be more helpful by sharing some screenshots, version numbers, etc...?
I don't see this kind of behavior here. Thanks!

Hi Amet
I use the octane for C4D plugin version 3.03-R5 and C4D R17.053.
I think there is no picture needed, It is a standart procedure like slepy8 described.
If you uncheck the save option in the c4d rendersettings and enable the render pass option in the octane settings
and render with the render queue, only then you wil get additional image files in your c4d scne file location.
If you render through the picture viewer it works like expected.

Well thanks. I could reproduce the issue. My first idea it's not about plugin than a C4D issue. I don't write any images from plugin else of saving the pass images.

So there is no other, more comfortable way to it? Because if you not only write images throug the plugin but also through the c4d save dialog you have to change names allways on two places.aoktar wrote:Well thanks. I could reproduce the issue. Especialy if you have many takes with different rendersettings you end up changing a lot of stuff every time you versioning up.
To me it would be a huge timesaver.
