Hello guys and gals,
hope this is the right section to ask this: Have you seen the blender / cycles update on displacement?
Basically it automatically adapts the resolution of displacements based on z- depth, so that it saves a lot of geo / ram in the background and also rendertime.

I do not know if Octane incorporates such tweaks, or if you have seen this or if this by any means interesting / possible.
