What happens is that after loading a new scene or file, and the viewport render mode is on, when I pan around the scene the viewport will turn black if the object I'm looking at is not centered. I always assumed that this was because of autofocus. So if I then turn autofocus off and enter a 1 into the distance it doesn't help that viewport will continue to turn black as I adjust the view. This also happens if I choose an object for distance. Only when I press the 0 key to view through the camera does the autofocus turn off and the viewport does not turn black as I move around the scene.

I can then turn autofocus back on but the viewport will not black out when I move like I would expect it to. Thanks,\

Jason

Edited to add Octane Engine 10.6

I believe I experienced the same issue - though haven't looked into too deeply and just thought my scene might not have been set up correctly on the file where it occurred.
