Hi,
I've not yet been able to utilise octane on my mac due to the AMD graphics card, so I've been looking into an eGPU solution.
I've looked at the Bizon box and thinking of going for it with the Nvidia 980ti graphics card option. I know you guys may offer up the Akitio as a solution, but having to hack it to get a larger card to fit, it doesn't seem like a polished option that will just work out of the box.
So the question is the graphics card, is it really worthwhile shelling out the extra cash for the titan X over the 980ti. It seems the price gap is huge but the improved performance is minor.
If it doubles my rendering speed in octane of course, I would definitely throw the extra cash. But if we're talking seconds I'm not sure if its worth it.
Many thanks in advance.
Bizonbox with Titan X or 980ti

Hi mikeadamwood,
Real performance difference between a 980ti and a titan x is the amount of memory on board.
The 980ti has 6gb and titan x 12gb.
Your choice depends on the onboard memory you need.
