Hi
Is there a bug with Octane and the take system when using takes for more than just render settings?
Tried a search here and came up empty.
I am using takes to set different objects on/off to render on top of the base scene, essentially creating different shots in the same environ. Would prefer to keep this in one project file.
However Octane is only rendering the shot/takes using the object settings from the base/parent take. Render settings/camera settings apply. But not object visibility.
When using the hardware/software renderers to generate playblasts for offline, all visibility settings are respected, and the different objects are rendered per take, which leads me to believe this is an Octane thing...?
Objects don't have tags but then they also don't animate so didn't think this was necessary.
Cheers

What's object visibility? You mean by set that object tag visibility params? Object tag is registered for take system.

Hi Aoktar,
I don't mean the Octane object tag, just the object visibility as in the red/green traffic lights in the object manager of C4D.

Should I then use Object tag visibility instead of traffic lights, and this will work with the take system?

Hi,
I can't see any problem on this. Do you have any sample scene to show that? I might be looking wrong.

I'll try a fresh scene as a test. Maybe this is something else in the scene causing the issue.
If I still can't get it to work I'll reduce the scene and upload a sample.
Good to know that it should respect traffic lights though, this helps me troubleshoot.
