Octane Lightwave plugin test. Many thanks to walfridson(holocube) for developing this excellent plugin. My old ferrari made in lightwave.

very nice, good to see the first officially lightwave plugin render posted in the gallery ;)
, but please, attach your images to our forum, don't use imageshack as it's slow and full op popup-ads...

Hi.
I think, this is the most realistic studio car render in octane forum.

Who did the model?

Hi Geo_n

if you dont mind, could share your workflow or do you have some tutorial about LW to ocatane? example if you have some changes on the model how do you export it back to octane without affecting what you already assign materials to the previous model.

to Radiance,

will octane have material presets? something i saw from bunkspeed shot.

thanks

Thanks guys. This is far from realistic as octane can get. Some posts here in the forum look absolutely better than this.
I have many cars in my signature I modelled and rendered in lightwave that I want to render in octane. Just won't do it now since I heard 2.2 scenes will not be compatible with newer octane builds.
The things you have to keep in mind for the lw plugin is that you can only have one layer for now. Not sure if holocube will be able to combine layout layers and export to one obj file for octane. Because in blender its possible to export multiple objects layers into one obj file. So the trick is to use bones and objects with weightmaps to animate these parts.
But this is one object with parts. Lets hope holocube can make it work with multiple object layers in layout.
