Hi there,

i was wondering if you guys can give me some fancy tips to improve my ligthing/render quality and still keep the rendertimes in broder. (actual rendertime is 2min per frame @ 1080 - the whole video will be arround 2min)

My actual light/rendersetup and result are enclosed

There are still a few troublesome areas (espacially on the lamps) - i know the closest solution is just to turn up the samples ^^
but as i said - would be great if you guys may guide me in the right direction to improve my limited render"skills" XD

thx in advance =)

Movement (Animation) renders many quality issues moot, that is hardly detectable. Reduce your samples to the point where you begin to see unacceptable issues and increase from there.

And is it possible to keep the reflection but get rid of the lighting?! =/

Hi nbeyond,
-important: always remember to load the HDR (or any other texture image in Octane) inside an Imagetexture node!!!
You can use the light blue icon shortcut.
The correct Gamma value for HDR is 1.
-when you have different emitters with different power, is necessary to balance the sampling rate on each emission node. Assuming that you have 3 emitters 100 for the emitter with 40 power and increase the sampling rate of the brighter at something like 6000 and the last one at 3000. You should see an improvement in the noise of the lights.
-In the final render, try this kernel settings:
Path term. power = 1
Coherent ratio = 0.35
Static noise = active
Parallel sampling = 16
Max tile samples = 32
You should see a great improvement in the frame render time and you could add a bit more sampling to stay inside two minutes of rendering.
-About the eyes, do you have some emission in the scattering medium node?
