After opening Octane Server and verifying my license has been activated from my license page on the web site, I am unable to innate either a viewport or normal render.

The Octane Blender BETA 3.03.4 app just shows a spinning beach ball.

Logs don't appear to show any errors but I will e-mail those under separate cover.

Please read the header post of the release-thread:
JimStar wrote:After starting OctaneServer it will take some time before the LiveDB tree and LiveDB material previews will be available from Blender - as OctaneServer caches the LiveDB data from remote server right after starting. But only the materials groups tree will be re-cached every time after server start, LiveDB material preview images will be cached only once - so only the very first OctaneServer start will need some more time before LiveDB tree will be available in Blender.
Are you sure you've let the server to be running enough before trying to use it?..

Yes. It was a few minutes. But Blender app was also open (though not rendering anything). I will try again just having the Octane Server app open and will let it run for about 5 - 10 minutes before opening Octane Blender and starting a render.

Ok Jim I have waited at least half hour before starting a render - the Mac spinning beach ball appears until I force quite Octane Blender.

I have confirmed the material DB is loaded as I can see all the previews and can even download textures. I downloaded one of the brick textures and saw it appearing on my object through the viewport material mode. But anytime I go into either viewport render mode or initiate a real render - the spinning beach ball appears.

Thank you! I will check it. I think it is some Mac specific issue...

Same happens to me on Linux. When I try and do anything with rendering or even trying to get the activation status, Blender just locks up and I have to kill it. I have restarted the server several times, and waited for the LiveDB refresh to complete, but no luck.

Thank you guys, I've found the reason. Will be fixed in a new version soon.
