Hi,
haven't touched Octane since version 1.5 but here I go again.
I have an scene set and ready to render, also set all 'Post' flares and bloom fx etc, I see it in the Live Viewer OK, but when I click to make the final render in the 'Render to Picture Viewer' (using Octane Render engine) it renders without the 'post' effects. What I'm doing wrong?
Im using R15 with Octane 2.15R4 plugin for Mac
thx!
Different render result than the live viewer

First guess what you are doing wrong: you are using a _very_ old version of octane. Why?

Hi deifgiri,
I hope you have made a typo and you are working with 2.25-R4 Mac
Anyway, do you have render passes active?
Is the Post effect the general one or is setted in the specific Camera tag?
Could you share a simple example scene that shows the issue?

Hi mates, thanks for the responses,
here's the screenshot, I'm stuck here I checked everything!, it seems a bug, In octane's live viewer I get the lights (difusse material with blackbody emission) with, post fx etc, but when I render in the C4D viewer they are gone.
I think I'll have to upgrade to v3 but will it solve the issue?
yes sorry, using 2.25
thx!

Hi deifgiri,
adding a screenshot is always a good idea
Check your Octane render settings and in particular, the Geometry Engine:
https://docs.otoy.com/manuals/products/ ... rendering/
If is setted to "Send all scene data", all the geometry is collected in one single object and the power of the emission is divided by the number of emitters losing power.
So the emitters are to weak and the Post effect cannot work as expected.

Yes I already tried that,
changed to 'Resend only updated objects' manual , all and auto,
it renders the first frame just fine, but the following ones are dark again.
You said they emissions are weak, If I push the emission power way high, I get some light in the render, but I still can't understand why is so different from the live viewer yet,
well, I guess the scene is not well done...

Always add object tag to emissive geometry to avoid confusions. It's about how exported the meshes to Octane scene. This different occurs If they are exported as part of a static mesh in PV and you worked with all movable in LV. See C4D->FAQ topic or read manual for animation rendering and export schema.

Hi deifgiri,
how are cloned the emitter objects?
could you post a sceenshot of your Object Manager, or even better the scene?

Hi deifgiri,
there is definetly something strange in your scene, the post effect is there, but the emission power always changes after the first frame
The scene still has the "Resend all scene data" option, please change it to manual or auto.
The workaround is to copy everything in a new scene, here now is working as expected. Let me know if you solve in this way.
