Can anyone here help me with a wee problem I can't figure out. I've created some new materials and I'm wanting to share them with the rest of my team on 3ds max. Is there anyway we can all access the same materials through LocalDB? I know you can do it with Octane standalone but I cant see anyway to do it with the 3ds max version. Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no way to save a material to the LocalDB directly from 3ds Max. You will need to use the standalone for that. Apologies for the inconvenience. If this is a serious productivity issue, this could be logged as a feature request, where feasibility and priority can be considered.

No, this is wrong. This feature was implemented a long time ago...
You can save it either to LocalDB, or to LiveDB, or to ORBX package.

Hi,

Jim is correct. This will do the same as the "Save. . ." option in the standalone.

Apologies for getting my wires crossed regarding the workflow for this (been doing a lot of work lately inside the older versions of the plugin).
