Hey everyone,

So I think I am long overdue for some new GPU's for Octane.

However, now that the price of the 980Ti's has fallen due to the 1080 release, I am wondering if I should purchase 3 of them instead of 2 1080's? No matter what, I am going to be using water blocks to cool the GPUs. I'm assuming that 3 980Ti's will be faster than the 1080's but is that because Octane can't yet utilize the strength of the 1080s? I've heard the 1080's also only work with Octane 3, which I've heard isn't that stable yet...please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks!

1080 Ti will come out too.. and I would not be to sure that triple 980Ti will be (much) faster then 2x 1080 (Ti).. we all have to wait for optimalization of Octane for Pascal cards.
I guess it is all about the question if you can wait to have good answers on your questions or want a build right away.

look at these post.. maybe that helps:
