I am not a fan of the recent Octane online manuals; I do a search for "North Offset" and nothing comes up.

My question is that when using the daylight system, I understand that you can in theory rotate the sky 180 degrees, so that the Sun is leaning towards the opposite horizon, using North Offset. But the units make no sense. -1 to +! ?! Why not 0-360 degrees. That's simple enough. What the hell is -1 to +1 supposed to mean?

Hi treddie,
it goes from -1 to +1 that it is the same as -360° to +360°, so 0.5 is equal to 180° and so on.

Thank you, sir!

So they just normalized the range.

Just one more related question. Does the rotation sense behave according to the right or left hand rule? There is no tiny graphic in Octane, which shows the world axes, so that right or left hand rule can be determined.
