Dear Friends!

First of all Thank You for OCTANE 3.x.

I noticed about 30% performance gain compared to 2.X.

But I'm struggling with major issue - rendering with OCT 3.x crashes my both computers, every version of O3 and even with newer or older nVidia drivers.
This is strange bacause while rendering with interactive OctaneRender Window in 3ds Max there are no issues.

And the same computers performing as servers works flawlessly - so this may be related witg 3ds MAx plugin.

The same computers work perfectly for months rendering with OCT 2.x.

Do you have any ideas what could I try to fix this or it's related with O3 plugin?

My specs:

- Motherboard: ASUS P6T7 WS SuperComputer
- Intel i7 960
- 24 GB of RAM
- 3 x ASUS GTX 780 6GB VRAM STRIX

[EDIT]

3ds Max Octane Live Viewer crashes computers the same way.

I'm rendering with PathTracing, MAX 2014-2016, many nVidia drivers including newest one.

I'm kind of stuck here, so what can we do to resolve this problems?

It's 100% not hardware or heat or PSU related.

Same here. 3ds Max crashes or the whole pc. More samples per frame to render more likely it will crash for animation. Ver 2 was way more stable

Three questions:

1. What are the size of your scenes? V3 uses a portion of your VRAM, so you will have less available for your scene elements than you did in V2.
2. What PCI cables are you using currently?
3. Please confirm - if you export to Standalone and render from there, do you experience any crashes in that case?

1. My scenes doesn't exceed 2,5 GB of VRAM, GPUs have 6GB of VRAM each;
2. I'm not using PCI cables, GPUs are plugged directly to Motherboard via PCIx16 slots;
3. Didn't have time to try this... I'll check it.
