Hi,
I recently installed 3.02 and plugin 3.17 and updated my graphics drivers.
After playing around a bit I must ask what have happened?
The Octane viewport is slow, laggy and freezes for about 5-10 seconds from time to time?
Often there´s also a quarter of the viewport or half the viewport that´s a bit slower than the rest in updating.
I´ve read about the new features and tried playing around with settings but nothing changed.
If I´m missing something please inform me.
Cheers,
What happened with Octane viewport?

I have tried 3.17, 4.0 and 4.1 and the same there.
I also tried standalone and same there.
I guess it´s Octane v3.....

Really? I didn´t notice that must check.
I´m guessing devs are ignoring this, not uncommon around here...

The extra memory consumption is due to the film buffer being shifted into the VRAM. This refactoring was necessary in order to make much of the V3 feature set possible.
These factors will require a lot of lower end PCs to be upgraded. In saying that, such upgrades would be necessary in any case when it came to these features.
Out of curiosity, what are your specs? If you are running a strong setup and still experiencing major issues, such issues would need to be investigated further.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for my slow response!
The extra memory consumption is not an issue for me, since I haven´t even noticed it

All my GPUs are on x16 PCI-E lanes, or at least 8x? However my issues is the same if I use one gpu or all three.
