Anyone here is using GTX1080 for production?
I cant find any good topics about anyone using it for productin here at Octane forumm, only thing I see is, that gtx1080 is about same speed as 980Ti, but im more concerned about its stability.
I plan to buy new cards next week and would like to know if it is worth buying the new 1080s.
Thanks in advance.

Hi martinscube,
in some weeks for now, no one has reported stability issues with Pascal GPUs and Octane.

I can confirm - 1080 working stable. Using it in production.

Thanks for the replys, will invest in 1080s then.
I have 2*GTX 1080 and the both work fine, clocks 2GHz and cool at 55-60C on 60% FAN speed so pretty quiet also.mbutler2 wrote:Anyone using multiple 1080's on a machine?

Lewis,
I see you have massive cpu power. What is the total max power draw of your machine? Are these temps for gpus separated by one extra slot?

When rendering full CPUs (80 threads) and 3 GPUs + 3 monitors+NAS+Router+switch connected to UPS, my UPS monitoring measures 975W.
here is screengrab of all in rendering.
Yes GPUs temps were in slots 1, 4, 7 with very good airflow case (Thermaltake W200)
TitanX goes to 70-71C (overclocked to 1450 MHz) and 1080s go 55-60C

Thanks so much. Great machine! I see I did a similar one recently but on 2630v4 and 3x980ti.

These v4s are amazing - 26C at idle, 37C at full load.
