Hello

I've been using Octane with Cinema4D for some time, it is working great
I'm having a problem recently though, I can't open my LiveDB anymore.

I right clicked on a material and clicked "Make new category" or something like that, by mistake, I saw that it created an unnamed category in the sidebar.
Then I closed the LiveDB, and now I'm trying to reopen it and it won't reopen. The never-ending loading spin of death keeps on loading infinitely :(
I restarted C4D, my computer, tried in an empty project, I can't make it work.. I have to force end Cinema4D with the Task Manager (Windows)

The LiveDB works fine in the Octane Standalone

Do you know what I could do to sort of reboot the LiveDB without opening it in C4D ?

Thank you

Find the cache folder for live/local materials and rename or delete folder.

I've tried what you recommended me. Deleted, Moved, Renamed, Tried on a different Drive, changed the LocalDB location in the Standalone and in the Plugin
I then uninstalled Octane Standalone + Cinema4D Plugin

I was on 2.24, I tried to install 2.24 again : same problem
I uninstalled 2.24 and installed both Standalone and Plugin in 2.25. It's still loading infinitely and blocking Cinema4D, I have to use the task manager to kill the application. (I let it run for more than an hour)
I don't understand :(

What does this "Make new category" button does in the Cinema4D Live DB ? I couldn't see anything modified in the LocalDB folder, every file in it (all .ocm and all .orbx) hadn't been modified since 2015.. so nothing changed in here

Do you know what could be causing this ?

Hard to know without checking from your pc. Maybe some files are corrupted and make the plugin crashed.

So just to add to the mix, pretty much this exact same thing happened to me.
I right-clicked on something in the LiveDB and apparently tried to make a new category or something (I was trying to download a material) and ever since then, all the LiveDB does is hang C4D and I have to force quit the program.
As with maximec, everything seems fine in the standalone.
I'd rather not reinstall C4D, but it sounds like that may be my only solution?
Anyhow, please know this is not an isolated incident!

I think it's a bug in 2.25 and appears randomly.
