object volume

how do you fill an object with a volume? when i drag an object under the octane volume, it disappears.

it just supports spheres and an experimental feature.

oh ok..

so in the near future we'll be able to make volumes in the shape of a mesh?

it's a matter of paid plugins and I don't think to write that as a part of octane. I don't see any appreciation for this kind of add-ons. But I can think to provide a bridge to make it by users.

what?

this would be very useful.... and it works just as i described for Lightwave. I use this feature in LIghtwave to make shaped clouds with Octane.

It is a feature that works with octane and it should be in C4D as well.

I don't think that's a ready function from Octane's itself.

Talk to the lightwave plug-in developer.

here is a shot where the clouds are a modeled mesh. Rendered in Octane. I made this shot so i know this. :)

These are not meaning the functionality is build in Octane SDK. Should be an external library or custom code by Juanjo.
