I am totally lost on how to make this work. Downloaded the Demo pkg installed it and no add-on was added. Opening the pkg with pacifist I found an old 2.75 Special version of Blender which runs Octane.

Is that it?

Hi animani,
sorry, not a blender user... but I have found this image posted by Uhlhorn, another mac user, in the blender customer forum section... I hope it could be useful for you:

Thanks for that mate.

I wonder wouldn't that just make the application just be back on a 2.75 version? I mean that folder contains all 2.75 files. The meaning of my question is that if Octoy is going to support 2.77 and is going to continue developing the Blender plugin. It seems its pretty much abandoned.

In other notes I've already opened the 2.75 version yesterday and I was messing around with it but couldn't find any IPR window. Is there any in Blender?

Hi, in addition of bebbe´s post, the demo versions are always older than the actual version.
Atm. it is Blender 2.76 for Octane and Octane 2.2, we hope for an update soon.

Cheers, mib

I think I have replied already but not sure if it hasn't been posted yet. Thanks for the info is that going to be for both Win as well as OSX?

Does anyone know if they ever going to update the demo?

Does Octane for Blender have a way to save materials as for instance Cinema 4D?

Anyone from OTOY that could shed some light about Blender Demos? If they are going to be updated any soon?

I find OTOY not really taking care of their support I asked them a month ago about their Blender support and they never replied back neither here I can get some serious reply. Disappointing to be honest. I wanted to buy it but the lack of support its putting me off.

Hi animani,
sorry for the delay, there were been some already solved issues with the Blender plugin. Here you can find an answer by JimStar, the developer of the Blender plugin, about the state of v3 development:

Thanks Beppe! That's great to hear that Blender hasn't been forgotten yet. :) I bet it must be a complex beast internally. Thanks again.
