The Houdini plugin can't see any of our machines for network rendering however the standalone on the same machine can. We have checked the ports and subnet settings to make sure the settings are identical. Can you think of anything that would cause this or do you have any idea of how to fix it?
Weird, are you sure that the plugin version and the standalone installed in the render nodes are the same version? For the latest plugin build, 3.03.2.0, the Standalone must be the 3.03.2b

Hi Juanjo,

We discovered the issue, it was a case of updating software (Houdini) and neglecting to update port exceptions on the network firewall. Thank you for the quick response though, the plugin is looking very polished! :)

I tried to update from 3.00.20.0, same time i updated houdini to 15.5.523, unfortunately it always says my SSO session is timed out and that i should login with my account.

I used the password with cut and paste, even logged out and back in again on the website with same cut and paste password...

It always comes back with SSO timeout and i should re login.

I then tried 3.03.2.0 with houdini 15.5.480, same effect.

I had to go back to 3.00.20.0 with 15.5.480 to be able to get it up and running again.

Disabled firewall, updated path settings in config file to correct path.

Any ideas?

Edit: System is Window 10 64 bit

OK, forget it, i was trying to figure out whats going on and found this on the release notes:
In order to close an SSO session, the user may go to the Account tab under File > Preferences > Account and click the Sign out
I got some weired behaviour, that it seems i could not really log out (SSO timeout message and then status said i am logged in), but after closing octane and re logging in in standalone and restarting houdini, it seems to work now

Nice work thank you so much !

I have a question though , with the new plugin version if I rotate my HDR my geo disappears . If I reload its there again , but it would be nice to rotate the HDR while seeing the geo in the Live Viewer
with the other versions I didnt have that problem!

Yes, sorry, unfortunately this problem was found just after the latest build release. It is fixed now for the next build. Meanwhile a simple click in the "Update" button of the IPR window should restore the scene without reload the scene.

Thanks,
