Render saved as .png differs from viewport output

Saved as 8bit png, right image is viewport.
on v 2.24
**Maybe my screen is getting older :) But viewport looks a bit brighter here

I think it's an optical illusion, you have a white background on the left and a dark gray background on the right, that influences the way you perceive the colors.

I put a black border around:

Seems the same to me? Even when I copy pieces of the image from the right onto the left, no difference, fits perfectly

IPS isn't all magic, there are good/bad TN and good/bad IPS! So really read reviews carefully, there are excellent TN screens out there! Ofcourse the uber expensive IPS ones are ultimately better, but budget plays a role. A good TN performs better than a bad IPS so be careful what you get. :)
