Hi, I currently have octane and c4d and as I want to work with Houdini I would like to know if its better to send stuff to c4d and render there or stay in Houdini and render inside with Octane.
Maybe send to c4d has more limitations, Im not sure
Any experiences?
(also shading in c4d is easy/faster than in Houdini)

What do you want to do with Houdini, full projects or only some kind of simulations or volumetric stuff?
If you want to work with Houdini, with all the project built inside Houdini, I suppose that it is better finish the project rendering it using the Houdini plugin. The shading workflow is the same used in any other Octane plugin, with the same nodes and parameters.
Thanks,

I want to add fx to my shots. So all the modeling/shading/lighting is un c4d/OctaneRender.
I know that I can bring volumens and dynamic geometry but Im not sure how to send particle stuff
