Hi there,

We are having to render a few images in really big resolutions around 15000 x 15000 pixels. They render fine in smaller sizes but crash when rendered in the full size. Attached the log. We tried 'out of core textures' as well but no luck.

any help greatly appreciated.

Hi thomastraum,
in v3 you can reduce, in the kernel settings, the Parallel Samples value in order to free up VRAM, have you already tried?

still crashing on multiple computers. updated to latest octane, windows 10.
no log in octane log, rendering to picture viewer, just crashes c4d outright.

I think you should give more info. How much ram you have? Have render passes? I hardly rendered 15000x15000 because i have 32gb ram.
I've notified plugin consumes 2x ram of standalone. As alternative you can send scene to standalone and try there.

thanks Aoktar. I wasn't aware of the RAM implications. We'll use a tiled camera and go from there.

Lately I was able to pull out a render at 21000x8000 px at 32GB system mem.

The most important issue is that your scene + VFB buffer has to fit in the GPU mem. I'm talking about the things that has to be in the gpu.

But came up with a problem. explained before not sure it that problem is resolved.

We think you posted error messages from V2. How much system RAM do you have? And can you post error messages from V3?
