Hello,

Firstly I wanted to write to this post as a reply but it is already locked Octane V3 License Recovery . I am also trying support, but they dont reply, so meanwhile maybe someone have faced this problem and can suggest something..

I dont use offline licensing mode neither in home nor in office computers, I checked several times from SE preferences. Everytime I signout from octane StandAlone close Octane, Blender Octane edition server etc and then I go to home computer, I cannot reactivate again. It says the license is active on another machine. Although this is impossimple, since I shut down the machine I dont use. So I have to manually unlock it online each time..

Same happens, for switching from home to office. I again almost ran out of unlocks. Support told me before, that they wont renew unlock, since it should be used on purpose. Now they dont reply. I cannot deactivate manually because I only have 2 unlocks left, and then what??

Please hear my desperate cry for help someone pleaseeee! :( :( :(

Hi,

Licenses might not be released if you have an unstable connection and the license server is not reachable at the time you close Octane.

If you keep switching machines you can make sure the license was released before leaving using licensing dashboard from the web. In case the license is still activated on that machine you can make sure they get released by completely signing out via either the plugin or Octane standalone (File > Preferences > Account > Sign Out), which makes sure all licenses on that machine are released.

I hope that helps.

Hi,

Thank you for reply. I am signing our from preferences>account each time to make sure it gets released. I also check from license page. Only SA license gets released, but blender plugin license stays active, although I sign out from account..

Here is visible that I use online licensing mode and the license page is right after I sign out from account. SA gets deactivated, blender doesnt..

I would consider connection problem, but I have a proper connection and it happens everyday, not only once.. I dont think it is related to connection..

Actually, if you are using the Blender plugin, which still hasn't been updated to V3 this makes sense as the license is not released automatically when the plugin exits.

The sign out functionality should however be able to deactivate the license bound to your box, so we'll look into it.

For the moment, probably the best solution would be to deactivate the plugin from the plugin itself and standalone from the account area from standalone.

Apologies for the inconveniences.

Is there a way to deactivate the license inside the plugin? This is the octane server area I can see in Blender.
