In the past i use a work around in c4d that includes matrix object shatter deformer and random effector with colour mode on. result is one mesh with randomly coloured polygons.
Can i achieve this with octane?

i already had a pretty good look thru those files and i dont think this technique is covered there. However the old technique actually does work in octane3. I achieved this effect by using shatter deformer with tiny settings, placing my object inside fracture and using random effector with colour mode on. Then placed mograpgh color shader in the diffuse channel of my octane material.
