Hello,
I'm new to Octane, I have student license (1.2) and I started with this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuDzLNNNwlg
Although I have a problem and could't find a solution. I load a file (mesh, obj, exported from rhino properly - chcecked) but the program seems not see the geometry. What am I doing wrong with this?
Octane does not see object
Create a render target and connect any geometry to this. And select rendertarget to see results.

Hi magienta,
unfortunately, as you can read in red in the infobar in your screenshot, it seems that you have not a valid CUDA GPU.
If you have an nvidia CUDA card, the issue in general could be solved with just an nvidia driver update, but with v1.2 you are limited to Fermi cards only, so, if your GPU is too new, you cannot use the student version and you can use only the demo version. For this reason the student version will be discontinued in a near future, when OctaneEngine with subscription licence will be out:
