Hi all,
I have uninstalled, and reinstalled both Octane v3 Standalone AND Octane v3 Plugin for Cinema4D. I made sure to install the plugin correctly, deleting all older versions of the Cinema4D plugin DLL, as I run Cinema 4D R17. However, I am still getting the same DLL error every time I open Cinema4D. Cinema4D and the Octane plugin still function properly upon clicking OK on the error message but its just kind of annoying and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to get it to stop.
I'm not sure what else to do.
Thanks so much!
"ERROR: Ran DLL more than once" still happening

Double check that! Because it's still having somewhere another copies of plugin. Maybe second c4doctane directory.

Nope, no other folder, on other DLL, i've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. What is happening?
Thanks
Thanks
Maybe run a search for the dlls on your hard drive, including the system drive.
DLLs can be loaded from various places in the folder structure, so one or more of the dlls might be hiding somewhere.

I wrote that what's happening. Somewhere you should have second install of same dll. This error comes for C4D to warn you about pluginID collisions.hansonhunterc wrote:Nope, no other folder, on other DLL, i've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. What is happening?

Please be aware that you can install plugins in the C4D program folder and in the C4D folder in the user app data directory. This happened to me in the past, too. You are probably still having a second install in the other directory. And of course, make sure that you remove all C4D plugin DLLs except the one for the C4D version you are using.hansonhunterc wrote:Hi all,

Does this apply for PC users as well as Mac users?
Yes for both. My advice to you that removing all other plugin directories else octane and try.hansonhunterc wrote:Does this apply for PC users as well as Mac users?

Would you be able to post screenshots of file paths to both locations you are referencing? I can only find one area on my PC that has an Octane DLL.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Why don't you just run a search for the files on your harddrives as I had suggested days ago?
