I've contacted support about this issue but have not heard back in several hours (request 108210). I've been unable to launch Octane on my work machine (it still launches at my home office).
I am getting the following license validation message and I've been unable to figure out what is wrong. I realize this isn't specific to the C4D plugin, because I get the same error when I try to launch the standalone renderer.
Any advice?

May it be a blocked connection?

I am unsure, I put in a request with our IT department in my office building but have not heard back yet. My thought was that it may be our firewall, but I unfortunately don't have access/permission to fiddle with it.aoktar wrote:May it be a blocked connection?

On V3 plugin's itself has not a role on any connections. All stuff is handled by Core. So you can ask to somebody from Render team to be sure.

Thank you aoktar, I just checked the render forum and it appears there are a number of other users experiencing this issue as well. I posted a request for help there.
Also, I'm not sure if this is related, but everytime I exit C4D on my office machine (and frequently at home) I get a windows "CINEMA 4D has stopped working" error. This has been the case ever since I upgraded to v3 of the plugin. However, it only happens when I'm shutting down C4D so it hasn't really been a nuisance.
I am wondering now though if the crash is occurring during shutdown prior to the plugin releasing the license.

About last minute crashes: Would be nice to see a bugreport.zip if it's available? What kind of plugins do you have installed? TFD, XP, etc...?
