I want to use Octane camera without Target Object in 3ds max.
I extracted camera data from Other Tracking Program.
And I exported it to FBX camera to use in 3ds max.
But I couldn't change it to Octane camera because of "Target" ( There is no target in FBX Camera )
And I tried Octane Camera position linked Extracted-FBX Camera position. But Rotation is different because of "Target".( Octane camera needs target but FBX camera doesn't have target )
Could I use Octane Camera without Target option or How to use 3ds max camera in octane render.
Could I use "Octane Camera" without "Target"

interesting problem.
There should be cam without target.
But u might have to wait for a long time for the devs to create that option.
did you try the opposite workaround.
Take the tracked FBX camera and make it targeted at frame 0. then link the target to the camera
Create octane cam. and link cam and its' target accordingly.
I remember doing similar thing in the very old days say, 15 years ago
hope it works.

Yes you can do this, if you create an Octane camera, go to the motion panel, and in the Assign Controller window change the Transform: Look At to Position / Rotation / Scale, then you can delete the obsolete Octane camera target. Of course setting the focus distance from the camera target distance now will not work, but you can set it manually.
