Hi, i've just bought Octane a week ago and i'd like to use those 2 functions in C4D and can't see any explanation anywhere on the forum about them. When i put 2 skies in my scene, ie. a hdri and a texture one, i don't know wich one i have to check to visible and which one i don't have to. Perhaps i didn't understand what it was made for.
And concerning the fog in the sky tag, i've seen that it was creating a "fog" in my scene but there's no interaction with my lights. Can someone explain to me what are the way to use it?
Thxs a lot.
Nico
What about visible environment and medium environment in C4D

One is for illumination, second(visible) is for the primary rays, camera, reflect, etc... It's weekend for me. I'll try to help more later if nobody answers. But check standalone section better info there. Also find sample scenes in release post.

Hi aoktar and thank you for your answer, the fog question is more clear for me now. Unfortunately, the visible environment is always a mystery. I don't know where to search in the forum so if you've got a link, i would be glad.

Hey guys!
Is there a chance someone provides us with SOLUTION instead of SOME INFO?
How to set it up in C4D? I set up two HDRi's in different order, with different "visible environment" on and off in different configurations, and can't get it working.

Here's a small test scene I made to try out separate lighting and reflection HDRIs.

So in reflection hdri I've put yellow RGB specrum.
In lighting hdri I've put blue RGB spectrum.
I suspect I should see yello reflections on the cube and sphere and blue background behind the plane, but everything is yellow.
I tested it with HDRI files - same effect.
Is there any other setting I'm missing?
EDIT: Now I see that those two HDRIs got merged! in reflections I see both HDRI's and in the background there is only one!
It works!
Thanks!!
