In the next weeks I'll work in the updated Octane 3 plugin docs, with a section related to the volumetric rendering.

Anyway working with TFD and the LW plugin is fairly easy. The plugin works with the TFD cache files. You only need to add the Octane_volumetrics custom object plugin to the TFD container object, set the volumetric mode to TFD, select the path of the TFD cache files and select the grids used by Octane to render the volume.

Finally you need to configure be the medium shader node to be used with this volume. You need to use the Octane_volumetrics custom object node editor and link inside the volume medium material.

You need to remove the old Octane 2.2 plugin and add the Octane 3 plugin again in the Layout to see the new nodes.

Hello!
Trying for the first time to render a turbulence scene, I get this message: "TDF library not found in """. Any idea what I did wrong?

You need to set the path to the TFD plugin in the options panel.

The problem (TFD library) is now solved now but nevertheless I can't see anything in the IPR. I set the cache folder properly, added to the container the volumetrics custom object, connected the volume medium to the volumetrics node... still nothing. Tried the path tracing kernel and direct lighting (which I guess might not work)
