I invested in hardware with AMDfire (mac) because you announced 3.0 really it'll work; realistic ORC and fallback for CPU when you'll release?
...almost fallback for CPU?

Why are you guys posting this hidden in a topic about denoising?
For gods sake, can you please make a sticky or something?

It's really just a bullet point summary of the GTC roadmap slides. Those are live in the news section of OTOY.com, with far more detail than my earlier post.

Once we are beyond 3.01 and ORC, we'll refresh the roadmap timeline with added specificity and make it sticky.

Hi Goldorak

In view of the fact that v3 for max isn't yet finalised, this seems like a daft question, but any ETA on v3.1?
Am I right is thinking that 3.1 is where we get the real goodies...

:D :D :D Built in denoiser
:D :D :D Adaptive sampling
:D :D :D ORC (still unavailable)
:D :D :D CUDA 8 support

Hi everyone,

Thanks to everyone who was testing ORC during the alpha stage, your feedback helped us a lot to move forward and make the service more mature.
Also thanks to everyone who patiently waited while we kept ORC private, we'll be rolling out the service to public soon.

Currently we're wrapping up last tweaks and changes before the release and will be giving access to ORC in small chunks of users.
If you want to skip the wait, please PM me and I'll give you instructions.

Thanks,
Vladimir

I'd like to be in one of those "small chunks of users".

Hi Vladimir,

I would love to try out ORC if possible. I've been talking to my CEO about the potential VR abilities of Octane. Up until now haven't been able to show them anything concrete. Maybe ORC is the answer to this situation? How can I get your PM to contact you?

Thanks!
