Hi I'm looking for a staff member to explain this to me.
I NEED to use Octane v3 from home (Windows 10 PC) and at work (Mac OSX El Capitain)
Both using latest V3 releases available.
Currently it's all working at home on my PC. I see that when I log in it's activated to 'Oli-PC'. Perfect. 4 de-activations left.
C4D was closed normally at home last night. No crashes. Just a regular exit from application. PC has been shut down for 12 hours or more.
I'm now at work and removed all previous versions of Octane. I then installed latest V3 standalone and C4D V3 latest version.
Now I get the credentials image screen and enter the correct user name and password.
This is what I get:
'Could not find the required license'
unable to find the required license.
I'm so tired of this. Please can a staff member list the steps I need to take to fix this?
I don't want to rely on web deactivations unless they are unlimited. Otherwise sooner or later I'm going to find I run out. I'm running a business and can't wait for support to get back to me.
Octane 3 - Activation/Deactivation

Hi creaturechaffe,
just to clarify, if you login in your OctaneLive page at work what do you see?
Is the license still active at home?
For this time you can use the online deactivation.
Next time at home, before shutting down the PC, start the latest standalone and deactivate from Preferences/Account, in this way all the license will be deactivated for that machine and you don't reduce the counter

Hi Beppe, thanks for the reply.
I got home and received your message.
The license is currently - last activated on my PC (home) on both standalone and plugin.
I want to be 100% clear on your instructions...
To make this work tomorrow at work (on the mac) what steps do I need to take?
I have not changed any online de-activation via Otoy website.
Should i de-activate from the standalone and also C4D plugin - using the software?
Sorry if it's a bit stupid but I really want to make sure what I'm doing is right. I want to get to the point where I don't need to remember to de-activate before leaving home, as from what I have read the license should be release upon quitting C4D, correct?
Thanks!

Hi creaturechaffe,
at home, if you deactivate from standalone 3.01 or higher and then you go to your OctaneLive page, do you see that all the license on the pc are deactivated?

Hi Beppe,
I just opened Standalone and signed out using the application.
Now on the Otoy webpage I see that standalone is deactivated (the button is a lighter grey) but C4D plugin still has the dark grey button with the option to deactivate.

Hi Beppe - No I believe my C4D version is the previous stable release to that.
I just entered my credentials into C4D in order to check the version number but I could not see this info anywhere.
I'm not really comfortable using 'TEST' versions - I'm using this commercially not as a hobby so it's a problem if I'm using a beta or test version.
BUT if you think it's going to help I will make an exception.
Shall I deactivate again, delete octane for C4D and download this new version as you suggested?

Hi creaturechaffe,
my suggestion is to use the latest version of c4dOctane and standalone in all your machines, reset one time and then check the deactivation before leaving office or home.
If one license is still active, use the standalone log-out method to reset the specific machine. The issue comes from osx and os switching, but should be solved in the next versions.

Is there a solution yet?
It seems I have the same issue here!
My stanalone Live Account (website) is deactivated (the button is lighter grey/unclickable) but my c4d Plugin is still activated (darker grey) and im not sure how to activate the standalone on the website again...
I use the latest releases:
Octane Render Standalone 3.01.1b
Octane for C4D V3.02-R2
Issue occurred after updating the versions.
Thanks fpr any help
