I just upgraded to V3 and i now the UV's are stretching horribly on the UV edges if i subdivide using the Octane Object tag.
Are there any changes to this part of the plug-in ? and if this cant be solved quickly can i retro grade back to V2 ?
thanks
Pete

Hi Studiolocal,
this is a known problem, please have a look here:

Anyway, with v3 license you can always go back and forth between v2 and v3.
ciao beppe

thanks Beppe
Hopefully ill hear from Aoktar about this today. we really need a legacy option here as i cant use V3 with this problem.
the model i am using will crash the plug-in if i try and subdivide using the c4d subdiv object rather than the octane object tag.
The thing about V2 is my account has no record of the V2 serials so i cant roll back without contacting support. or is there another way ?
I'll try just swapping the V2 plug-in back and keep using the V3 serials ?
cheers

Hi! What do you expect to hear? Why don't you use C4D subdivision to solve problems?

Hi Aoktar.
I guess i would expect to hear that a legacy option is being considered if somehow this is not logged as a bug ? ( cant see why its not a bug - perhaps you can explain ? )
I did clearly mention in my post that if i use the c4d subdiv it crashes the scene, perhaps you didn't read it, so i dont have any options other than roll back to V2 ( which works fine but that would leave me uneasy about octane 3 )
i am happy to provide a scene to help solve this problem, please let me know if that will help
thanks for the quick reply

I don't know which issue you posted or saying. But there is not any changes since V2.25-R3 to V3.00 about uvmapping or mesh creation codes. You may point where is your post about issue. And show me some comparison pictures.

Hi
In the thread that the Italian Dev Beppe posted above acknowledges a problem, i am surprised you don't know about it but there is a scene file and detailed discussion there.
attached is a render from my scene which shows the problem on the UV edges. I can provide you a scene although one is already provided for you in the thread posted above. Let me know if you need mine but i will need to send it to you privately.
regards
Pete

As i said that i haven't changed anythings on face/vertex/uv creations on meshes since months. This is propably not about my revisions. Anyway please send me the one object from body of robot.
