Octane C4D Demo plug in problems

Hi there

I'm trying to test out Octane (demo) and the installation seems to work fine as everything appears in the relevant menus however when I open the Live viewer the "send your scene" cog button to the left of the menu is grey rather than green and when clicked nothing appears in the viewer.

I've tried re-installing several times but still the same.

I'm using the latest version of R17 and the NVIDIA driver is up to date.

Any ideas?

please, could you be more specific about your hw and sw?
what is your operating system and Nvidia card?
Have you tried with the standalone demo?

Als check settings->Devices section. I think you don't have a proper device in this list.

Apologies for taking so long to reply to your kind responses.

I am running C4D R17 on 2 x 2.4 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon. NVIDIA Quadro K5000 4096 MB

Am I missing something?

no problem
as Ahmet said, probably you don't have a device listed, so c4dOctane cannot work. In general, this is related to the nvidia drivers and CUDA. Under windows, update your Quadro drivers only, while under Mac you have to install or update the CUDA mac drivers

Downloaded the new CUDA driver and it seems to be working, thanks for your time ad patience guys
