Both in the 2.24, 2.25 plugins and the v3.0a10 - 3.3 [ALPHA], the perspective correction does not work.

I have tested in octane standalone, and that work fine.
Any chance to have this working on the plugin?

Hi,

Thank you for raising this to our attention. I will attempt to duplicate this issue on my end, and we will aim to resolve this for the next release (or post a resolution if applicable).

Cheers,

Hello,

Is there any news about this bug?
Is it planned to be fixed in the v3 plugin?

Hi,

What is the current scale on your camera? Are you using the Octane Camera, a physical camera, or the virtual camera? There is an issue where perspective correction can sometimes have issues in the viewport, but come correct in the final render. Is this happening for you all the time, or does it pop up only once in a while?

Hi azen,

Have you tested it or not?

It is working on the standalone.
It is not working in the plugin in any case (with a standard camera, a physical camera, octane camera, in the octane viewport and in the render).
The only thing that work is the modifier "camera correction" on a standard camera or the perspective option in the physical camera.

But that is not a good workflow to is standard camera or physical because we cant have a camera imager setting per camera.

Hi Jim,

What is the version of your plugin? (seems v3)

Have you the same result with the version 2?

Yes.
I think your problem is a camera position... Octane manual states that the camera must be strictly vertical to this functionality work. If your camera's "up vector" is not vertical, it will not work.
Cameras even newly created by 3ds Max are not strictly vertical. Because of this I've added in recent versions of a plugin the workaround which silently fixes the up-position of a camera during translation of the scene if it is slightly not vertical. But I can't do this auto-fixed angle too big, 'cause some users may intentionally want to have slight tilt to the camera.
