Hi,

I am on the Modo plugin now and are looking to buy the Maya plugin and upgrade. But does UDIM work cant test it in the demo?

And in the new Octane 3, does it support Open CL yet? (I have a Mac Book Pro that I want to use while out of office in the summer month)

- Octane doesn't support UDIM yet, this is not a plugin issue but an octane standalone issue.
UDIM will be supported in Octane 3.1, then the Maya plugin will support UDIM aswell.

-Opencl is never going to be supported by Octane, instead of that Otoy has devellopped a cross-compiler wich compile the Cuda Octane Code to work natively on AMD and other plateform (so doesn't need Opencl).
This already works but there's an issue with some drivers.
Otoy wait after the vendor to solves the issue in their driver, and then will be able to release an "AMD compatible Octane" or an "Intel compatible Octane".

Thanks for the detailed answer.

Hmm, does not UDIM work in Maya / Octane. It does in Modo / Octane (was limited to 20 tiles or so, but they just removed it or will), did not know that.

Will this cross-platform be any good/fast ? Have there been any official tests or even better an beta version to try?

There was only one short video showing Octane working with a AMD card, no beta yet.
