Request: Fix activation method.

Hello, dear OTOY Team. I have an question =) In new Octane version(3.0) you added new activation system, but I not understand What do I do in my situation =)

I have octane at Office and at home. With old version I can make online deactivation and haven't problems. But now =) If I want activate my license at home, I need to comeback in Office?! My Office is 30 km from my house... Or If I go to other country and my computer at home and I forgot to deactivate my PC, how can I activate license on my notebook? I hope this is temporarily problem and you can fix that...

Because just now I need to wait ending of render in office, for example to 3-4 p.m and after that can come back to home.. It is very bad...

I have the exact same issue with version 3 licensing, there is no deactivate button available

Licenses are bound to a machine as long as Octane is running and for security purposes they need to be deactivated from the same machine.

I understand that this is not the best thing in some cases, but you may use a remote desktop to deactivate that machine when you've made sure your render has finished, without risking deactivating your instance blindly while the render is in progress.

We will also be deploying a free remote server feature (you can grab the beta on install.otoy.com) for connecting to Octane as well as your desktop, similar to what we created for Autodesk Remote.

If windows activation will fly off or my computer will broken - will my octane activation be auto active? or I need to send message to support, that they will deactive my old windows system?

Please don't forget this moment, because I will have problems if the windows activation will lost and I need to render urgently.

If I try to put an octane license to a different computer and nothing happens?) And I haven't no time and wait support answer to deactivate?

Octane deactivates the licenses when standalone/host plugin application exits, so this should not be happening unless something really wrong happens. However, should this happen to you at the moment there's not a formalized way to request a license deactivation other than sending our support team a request to do so.
