I am trying to create a simple gradient on a plane with no interpolation so it just appears as one color after another with a hard line.
think I have set it up as needed but the the gradient bleeds which is not what I want.
Any ideas, I always struggle with gradients in Octane for some reason!
Here is a screenshot of my setup.
Cheers
Michael

Plugin will not account gradient's iteration. Has own parameter for this. Also V3 has constant iteration not V2. Try to add more color to simulate that.

I don't quite understand your answer aokter!
Are you saying it can do it but in a different way. I have seen there is a complex mode but cannot find any documention after doing a google search on it. Are you able to show me or provide an example please

Thats what I thought you meant but there is still a slight bleed between the two and it makes it very fiddly. I am planning on upgrading to 3 anyway. So just to clarify V3 can do what I want? Also is the V3 plugin a stable release now?aoktar wrote:I mean V2 has not this option. This is the way for you.
Thanks.
I suppose that's stable as 2.25-R4 mostly. Still working on to improve and add more features. But V2 development is ended.

Release is stable. Great Update. Gradient knot interpolation is not working so you can use only Smooth Knot and get results you want by duplicate the knot and putting it on 0.1% close to next. In that way you will see clean step to next colorMichaelYpes wrote:Thats what I thought you meant but there is still a slight bleed between the two and it makes it very fiddly. Just upgraded and it works just as I wanted. Sweet
Beach balls will be a breeze.....
Worth the upgrade alone just for that but cant wait to use the fog and also delve into the xparticle scene files.
Great work aokter! Octane makes it just so much fun and your plugin is just awesome
Keep it up. Here is the new scene file with the new plugin.
