My license where sorted today so I have been able to start testing.

Installed okay, DS plugin open fine......old scene opened fine....basically up and running now.
One thing I noticed, before use to be able to to double click on materials and it would take me to the Nodegraph Editor
but now I see the only way is the click on the Nodegraph Editor button.
I don't know if it is how I installed things, but I currently have this issue with 4.8 and 2.x plugin, where I did not before. However I don't have this issue with 3.0 and 4.9.

So I am able to replicate the isssue, however I'm in a unique spot at this time because the installation that has the issue isn't really "clean".

Hi,

I successfully activated Standalone and plugin but, I notice from then rendering is alway 1024x512 in final mode. Missed I something ?
Dimensions are set 1920x1200 in render settings tab (Path Tracing). I don't know why...

Thank you for helping me

Yes, doubleclicking to open the NGE got removed because it caused issue with the DAZStudio UI.

This will be fixed in the next release.

I've been using that for years :( What issue did it cause, I really like my double click. And it currently is working in the 3.0 test, but not in the 2.25 stable i have set up. So is it staying out of the 2.25 but remaining in 3.x?

Material Panel->left click the OctaneRender Materials list to select a material then right click to get the menu is triggering a double click event in DAZStudio which causes the NGE to display (a few users here have reported this problem). This has also been reported in the Qt forums, so it looks like a general issue with Qt, but there does not appear to be a solution. Do people object if I remove the double-click event opening the NGE? You will still be able to click the Nodegraph Editor button to open the NGE.

Thanks

Paul

No objection.
I think ForceX had reported an issue on feb 11(?), me and Rgus said no objection around Feb 24.

@ Larsmidnatt...... that is funny, one of the reasons I uninstalled the 2.25 was because I couldn't double click for NGE but it's working for you in V3 LOL

It's not working for me on 3.00. Checking the code - the detection of double-clicks is based on the DAZStudio double-click timer interval (as opposed to actually getting double-click events from Windows). I couldn't see anywhere in DAZStudio where the double-click time is set, however if you go the Preferences->Interface->Restore Factory Defaults it should in theory return the DAZStudio double click timer to it's default (at which point, I doubt doubleclicking the material will result in the NGE opening).

Ah that may partially explain it. I only recently updated my version of 2.x because 3.0 came out. I shoulda stuck with the older version *sob sob*

@Paul I know we have a trillion options in the plugin already, but could this be optional? Default i can be off if that is what people wanted, but let me opt in to it.

The difference between doubleclicking a material to open the NGE and clicking the NGE button is minor, so I would rather put my time into fixing things which are not working at all, like Instances, Render Layers, Visible Environment, etc.
