Space Lighting with Parallel Shadows?
Moderators: ChrisHekman, aoktar
I'm doing some outer space shots, and I need an infinite light with parallel shadows. Searching the forums indicates that there is no straightforward way to do this. Aoktar published a file which seemed to produce the parallel shadows I'm looking for, but I don't seem to understand the trick employed. What do people do for outer space lighting with Octane?

OK, I got it to work. Just had to toggle some switches...

I had to do this recently, I just used the environment sky with space texture instead of the sky, give the illusion the light is coming from a star not to far. And the sun of environment sky is the only possible infinite light in octane.
(the intensity of the sky colors still play a role in the lighting, change them to some dark grey)
