So this just started but layout now crashes when I startup octane plugin.
Seems to crash when it tries to do authentication. I switched back to version 2 from the beta 3 when this started to happen.
I uninstalled the plugin from lightwave and deleted the menu, then quite lightwave.
I deleted the dll's from the beta 3 in the lightwave bin folder and replaced them with the dll's from the version 2.25.0.0.
I restarted LW and installed the ver 2.25.0.0 plugin then imported the menu.
Quite LW ( old habit)
Restarted LW and enabled octane plugin which now crashes layout.
Any ideas?

So you get a crash with Octane 3.0 and with Octane 2.2? Weird. Do you get any error message?
Also you could try to remove the Octane preferences file. It is the file "octane.cfg" stored in the same folder used by the LightWave config files.

Well that was weird ?
Restarted windows and all is good don't know what could of happened there everything else was running fine.
edit:
I got no error messages just the layout has crashed dialog box.
seems to be running ok now.
