Hi,
I'm trying to render a fairly heavy scene with instanced geometry.
In IPR or still rendering this isn't a problem with about 4 min per 1000 samples at HD
But when I try to batch render the animation, maya says that it's rendering, but really nothing happens...
Am I doing something wrong?

A quick solution to your problem could be to export to ORBX as animation (with the Alembic option enabled) and batch render from standalone or at least figure out there what's going on.
Else it's hard to guess your problem without a sample of your scene,could be a problem with motion blur, geometry type, file name prefix, ect ...
If you can share a sample of your scene with the most possible things deleted but still showing the issue or an example scene with the same issue, it would be easier to help.
