So, people already paid for a plugin that still doesn't work well, now they want us to pay for the update to v3/ plugin without giving us any feedback or dates for the plugin releases. Well, Otoy is going mad.

waiting too, can´t be!!
It was several months before the Blender plugin for v2 was available so I imagine it is likely to be the same scenario with the v3 plugin. I hope I am wrong though and any info Otoy can provide would be much appreciated.

It´s a bit different, as far as remember before the v2 there hasnt been any official integrated plugin. it was just released after the v2 release. the infrastructure for development is already there and v3 has had a long time out there yet.pegot wrote:It was several months before the Blender plugin for v2 was available so I imagine it is likely to be the same scenario with the v3 plugin. the disappointing thing here is that we don´t get any notice from the developers. If they would tell us about a status, that would be enough for me. but thy are leaving us stay in the rain. in my case not being able to use the plugin the same day like c4d users means it lowers my competitive ability.
I did it again, I got excited about the hype and bought the V3 & plug-in sight unseen. Blender is the only program I have that has volumetrics so not being able to create a scene that Octane can render puts me right back at V2. I'm sure the stand-alone will do the job as the core program has always been rock-solid IMO. Its the third-party plug-ins that have taken their own direction, productions schedule, and QC that leaves me hanging my head low.

I also need to know that before I upgrade, as I have to keep using hair rendering in one of the previous Octane2 versions.bkjernis wrote:Is it okay to have Octane V3, and Octane V2, and blender for octane V2 all installed at the same time, with all activated. I too, am looking forward to the V3 blender for octane plugin. I am sure we will hear something soon. Cheers

I would love if some of the octane developers give us some attention here...
